Updated: Air & Space Magazine is carrying our image of the the final flight of the ISS and Discovery.
We got a little cooperation from the weather for a beautiful night and were able to capture the international space station (ISS) and space shuttle Discovery (STS-133) orbiting together on what was Discovery’s final flyover over Pacific Grove and the Monterey peninsula.
This was image was captured in Pacific Grove on the Monterey peninsula. The moon is on the left and the orange light on the right is the city glow of Santa Cruz, 25 miles across the Monterey peninsula.
